Well, not really….
However, I did unwittingly complete an Ironman triathlon without breaking a sweat….
In my dream that is…
RUNNING – Up a long dirt hill. I was being chased by Nazis and I was headed toward the trees. I was running out of breath, but kept on going.
SWIMMING – The dirt road ended at a cliff edge and I jumped into the water below, swimming, swimming, swimming through cold water to get to the other side. I think I have lost them, but cannot be too sure, so I keep up the pace.
BICYCLING – I scramble through the brush on the bank and get to a dirt road. I see a bicycle with a yellow basket leaning against an old wood barn. I jump on the bike and pedal on ~ and on ~ and on ~ and on ~ and on ~ and on.
I pass a gentleman on a bicycle coming from the opposite direction. He is tall and thin and carrying a chandelier.

So many funny lines in that movie… here is one that stands out to me, as it came to me in sleep or trying to sleep mode.
“I’m Tony Stark. I build neat stuff, got a girl, occasionally save the world. So why can’t I sleep?”
If you are curious about triathlon distances…
I’m tired, it’s time to wake up.
“But fingers tap into what you were once
And I’m worried that I blew my only chance
Whispers in the dark
Steal a kiss and you’ll break your heart
Pick up your clothes and curl your toes
Learn your lesson, lead me home”
~ Mumford & Sons lyrics to Whispers in the Dark
Tossy – Turny kind of night, sheets all in a swirl. Gripping the pillow, attempting to tether to sleep.
Just ordinary routine, I pull into the driveway and angle to park the car. BOOM! I hit the side of the garage,
I awaken with a jolt. Did we have an earthquake?
More restless thoughts and attempts at sleep… Did my car roll into the ditch? Was I in a fight?
Did I feel anger, resentment or worry about something left un-done or un-said?
Finally, with heavy head – daylight breaks.
My fingers are lightly tap tap tapping on my eyelids. I am sure when I look in the mirror I will have a huge inflamed
black eye…. but I don’t. Not even a spider bite. Just a little puffy from the salty meal the night before.
I blame it on the Gochujang – Korean pepper paste, so delicious on pork, chicken or just about anything!
Drinking lots of water today… water with lemon and ginger…. water with fizzy…. pure spring…. watermelon fresca….. ahhhh
