you may say I'm a dreamer….

I Know What Lies Beneath

Trudging on snowshoes or skis over frozen glaciers, brutal cold, frostbite, dehydration, altitude sickness, fatigue, miles and miles of white ice… and then the melt… into wet concrete, quicksand like mud, one foot at a time, being sucked down into heavy masses of clay.  Trying to stay on the hard crusty ridges, steep drop offs on either side.  Where will my next foot fall?  Balance, breathe, stay on course… we will get there.   CUE MUSIC, because there is always music or some sort of soundtrack.  Though these 2 cellists did not actually appear in this dream, they were there, shreds of music in the cold crisp air of the glaciers and mountains, collecting in the valley, strings in the clouds, vibrations in the mud.

This dream’s visuals sprang directly from watching the news of the Oso mudslide and from the incredible Prince Harry Antarctica trek. Two amazing spectacles of nature and human perseverance. The message though, simple… a quest for balance.  Slow down, breathe, take care, hold dear ones close and just, listen.

BTW… Do you ever time travel in your dreams?
